Decaf almost always has that specific decaf smell and flat taste to it. But not so fast, this decaf is different. Our Samaria Farm EA Decaf was decaffeinated in Colombia using ethyl acetate, an organic compound derived from sugar cane, to remove 97% of the caffeine from coffee beans. The EA process tends to leave a pleasantly sugary flavor. This coffee was initially wet processed by Samaria, which for them involves a 12-hour fermentation to break down the sticky fruit mucilage, then drying on the patio. Using this method results in a brewed cup that is both rich and flavorful.
Process: Wet Process (Washed) then EA Decaf ("Sugarcane")
Altitude: 1600 M
Roast: Medium
This decaf has so much flavor and it's nice and bold. A good decaf is hard to find, but this is Amazing!
Have never had a decaf coffee as flavorful as this one! Incredible flavor. A real treat to be able to enjoy a cup of this in the evenings. Thank you Monkeypod Coffee Roasters!
I love a warm cup of coffee in the evening, but can't do caffeine at night. This decaf is roasted to perfection and absolutely delicious!
Comfort in a cup
I don't normally drink my coffee black but this one is absolutely delicious black - I don't want to alter the flavor in any way!
